
Week 1 of the New Year! It is difficult to get back into the swing of things but not as tough as I thought. We've done it before and it's easy to get back into the swing of the right things to do. Light breakfast, light lunch, fruit or veggies as a snack, low fat dinner. Exercise. Don't eat fast food or takeout. If you do eat a restaurant meal, make a sensible choice - substitute a salad for fries and order the sandwich without cheese or mayo.
Not that it's easy to avoid temptation. It's everywhere! Just driving down the street the signs call out to you - "Eat donuts! Eat Burgers! Eat Fries! Buy a candy bar! Drink Soda and Frappucinos!" You eat dinner and sit down to relax in front of the tv and there's more food!
Eating only what our bodies need is the most difficult part of all of this. Good luck avoiding temptation this week!
