Miracles

It's been a very bad week. We have not done too many positive things for our diet at all. We almost talked ourselves into Mcdonalds breakfast this morning. Ugh.

It will be a miracle if we lose weight.

Something is in the air. I started this week hell bent for a perfect week and I fell on my face by Tuesday. Tomorrow is day one all over again and if something happens Monday will be day one. That is the greatest thing, you can always start over and try not to look back. It is done with and you can't fix it.

I love your icanhascheezburger pic. We used to talk about that site all the time when I was at Tyco. Lot's of cute pics.

I fell off the wagon last week and I'm still off it. I hurt my calf exercising so I wasn't able to go to the gym. I've pretty much eaten everything in sight to boot. We'll see where I'm at tomorrow.

Anyone have any tips on how to get back on the wagon? I feel like I was doing so well but now I'm no as enthusiastic. :o(

One of the things that keeps me going is a pair of jeans that I used to wear 4 years ago. I have them hanging on the door knob of my bedroom door, and every other week, I try to squeeze into them. Each time I try them on, it's exciting to see the improvement. I still can't zip them, but at least I can get them on now!
Another thing you might try is to find a picture of yourself at a weight you were comfortable at. Put the picture on your frig, or somewhere you will see it each day.
You can do it Jess.....don't give up!!

I have slowed down too. Its one of those things. You can't be looking for 5 pound weeks every week. All you can do is be aware, be alert and try to stay on program. If you don't eat Bread, Fast Food, Ice Cream, and Sweets. You'll probably lose weight. Avoid anything creamy. No sauces and fat free dressing. Nothing fried. I know it sounds like a lot but its not that hard. Small portions. Its not about being ON PROGRAM or OFF program. You have to set it up so that the WORST week you could have is one where you stay the same weight. That way you never go backwards from the weeks where you do lose. Every day, I eat a salad, with smoked ham and turkey. It is awesome, I look forward to it. Have a salad before dinner, a nice leafy, cucumbery, tomatoey salad. Lots and lots of salad, with a nice light dressing. Then you know what, dinner (with all those high density calories) feels a lot more filling. You can't be encouraged ALL the time, so you have to limit the damage when you are discouraged. Make sense?
