OCTOBER is breast awareness month

Mamogram...I had mine...had to go back for more pictures....and now I need to go for a biopsy....older women...that is women over 50 tend to get calcification in their breast ...is it a threat ....it could be ....but early detection is the key...dont put it off and keep saying well maybe I will make an appointment next month or the next....keep that yearly promise to have it done every year. This is a good thing to do. I am sure that I am fine....but it is the wait and see the gets to you....Not a high threat but nervous about it anyway. ALSO...this being said ...does not give me permission to drown my fears in Chocolate Cake...though it does sound good ...I will opt for a nice lo cal hot chocolate....or fat free pudding for a few calories less than a big slice of dutch double choc....hhhmmm whats for breakfeast.
Love you all when the sun is shining high in the sky.

I'm sure it will come back normal but the waiting does make you nuts.

I went thru that earlier this year. Just do it! You'll feel much better. The new digital mamogram machine at Harrington picks up much more than the old machine, so it could be calcification that was there last year, but it didn't show. I opted for the biopsy for piece of mind. It was a huge relief when I got the results. Let me know if you want to talk. There are two ways the biopsy can be done. Give me a call, and I'll fill you in on both ways. They tried one way and couldn't do it because of the location of the mass, so I had to have the other way. Call me. I care! Sometimes it helps to talk!
