Pedometer!

Buy a pedometer. Just go do it, just buy one. It is very strange how a pedometer gives you a really good idea of how much activity you have done in a day. 10,000 steps a day is the goal and it is MUCH harder than you think to get to that goal. I would only do 2,500 steps a day without any additional exercise.

Get a pedometer, wear it and keep track of your steps. If you use the treadmill you'll get extra steps. You look at it throughout the day. It is like an addiction. You have to get more steps! MORE STEPS! Buy a pedometer, wear it, you'll thank me.
