I hate when I can't come up with a post title because I have too much I want to say

So, I don't really have a direction for this post - I just have a few things I want to talk about.

1) Dean and Deluca

Cue Homer Simpson type drooling. I got this beautiful catalog full of scrumptious looking food items this weekend. It made me really miss cake - look at that pumpkin cake. Hold on while I wipe up my drool......I have no idea what mailing list I'm on but it's so evil and so wonderful at the same time.

It's no wonder that 80% of people over the age of 25 are overweight. Food is everywhere, easy to get, and most of it is cheap. We saw ads this weekend for Quiznos Prime rib subs for $3.99. I just looked up its calorie count and a regular size is 1110!! It's a lot more work to make yourself a healthy sandwich. But just because it's harder, doesn't mean that it's not worth it in the long run (that's true for anything).

2) Salter Nutri Weigh Scale

Apparently, I should have been born a blonde. Once, Chris convinced me that George Foreman lived down the street from his parents. And the whole food scale controversy from last week could have totally been prevented. It seems as though if I had just kept looking down the list of food items, I would have found the correct value for ham - Ham, Cured, Cooked. Please don't let my stupidity keep you from purchasing a scale - they're $79.99 at Linens N Things right now. I know it's a bit pricey but, this is for our bodies and our health. They are a wonderful tool when used properly.

3) What the ....

Miracles really can happen. Somehow, I lost 2.4 pounds this week. I had no business losing weight this week. I don't feel like I did anything good for myself but hopefully that means that when I am doing things right, I can lose a bit more.

Good luck to all this week! It's a new day and a new week - let's keep up the good work!

UPDATE : Well, I didn't lose 2.4 lbs, I lost 1.6 lbs. Clearly, I am also delusional.
