Too Much of a Good Thing





Well let me tell you what I have learned......too much of the good food is also not good to eat...it has to be portion control and not just to say..well this is lo-cal or no sugar added......and beware of the dried fruit...yummy yes ...but it does add calories....I may not do so well this week but I can say that I have learned a few things and I need to be more careful with my choices of snacks...Plus the Chinese food didnt help that much..even if I didnt have the fried chicken fingers...this is a life style change ... not a diet....so slow and steady will get me to my goal....my first goal is just around the corner....I want NEW NUMBERS...that is when you lose enough weight to get you to the next "10" . For example you weight 185 new numbers would be 179. Well I wish that was my weight but it is not....I was most happy at 180-185. Doctors ideal weight for me is 155 but that is long term and too much to bite all at once ...so for this week I am looking for a few pounds to get me to new numbers.....I was there earlier this week but had too much fun yesterday so now I need to start out at where I was last Monday...funny what we do to ourselvers...

PS Coming up next Sunday is the UMass Cancer WALK FOR THE CURE. ... we will be walking for the memory of my 3 year old grandson who passed from cancer and also many friends who also left us too soon ......We will be walking 5 miles. It is a good day !

Eating out twice on the weekend wasn't to bad but not too good. No loss but the numbers didn't go up. Like Katie I did the steak and baked potato with two salads.(I ate Mike's) One small slice of lemon cake for dessert and that was my treat for the week. Gail and Joe got parts in the Gateway Theater for Christmas so I will be definitely busy till the holiday.
