Balance...

So it has happened... this morning... Katie and I officially weigh the same. I had a very bad week, she had a good week and here we are. I knew that this day would come, and I really am glad it is here. I honestly thought it would be much later, when I was getting close to 200 lbs, but I have been lazy for months and so here we are.

It is interesting to think about that Katie has weighed more than me the entire time we have been together. What is more interesting is that she will never weigh more than me again, ever. I want to redouble my efforts this week and really have a fantastic week. Not because I want to compete with Katie but because I want to help. I still have 80 lbs to lose and I know I can do it. I'm only half way there.

Katie and I have always balanced each other out in other ways. Aside from our mutual enjoyment of eating, we really are very different. Here is how we are the same:

Both like TV, but not the same shows. ('cept In Plain Site, Monk, Psych, Big Love, and Weeds)

Both like Movies, but not the same ones for the most part.

Both like to Drink, but I like Beer and Scotch and she doesn't.

Both like to go out eat - fast food up through fine dining, she doesn't like seafood though.

Now, here is how we are different:

She's quiet, and I'm loud.

She's an introvert, I'm an extrovert.

I'm a talker, She's a listener.

I work at an office, she works at home.

She likes niche music, I like Top 40.

Her weakness is sweats, mine is Salt.

She likes simple games, I like complicated ones.

She likes fiction, I like non-fiction.

She like tatoos, I don't.

and on and on and on...

My final point is this, we've balanced each other on the mental scale in so many ways up until now, it is nice to finally be able to balance out each other on the physical scale as well.
