The Strep Throat Diet

This diet is does not come highly recommended. It was awful. I was in horrible pain all day Wednesday and slept for 23 out of 24 hours. Thursday morning I convinced myself I felt well enough to go to MA to celebrate turkey day with the family. Once I got there I realized I wasn't feeling as well as I initially thought. So it was an early night for us.

Despite all the bad, I guess the good thing is I know I will do well this week. Tues at work I was starting to feel crappy so all I had was a cup of noodle soup. For supper that night I had a PB&J and went to bed. Wed I only ate a banana and a cup of OJ. Thursday, I didn't eat breaskfast and for lunch I only ate a small serving of meat stuffing, corn, a taste of turkey, and butternut squash (oh and a small piece of Angie's cake). When we got home at 7pm I went to bed - no supper. By far, this was the least amount of food I have ever eaten on a holiday. Even if you count back to when I was a kid.

Just so you know how sick I was, I passed up Aunt Jeanne's cranberry bread -- my favorite food on the entire planet. I guess I will enjoy my weight loss despite the way it was obtained. I just don't intend on doing it ever again. :o)

Here's to a healthy week!

Don't fret Jessie. There will be cranberry bread at Christmas but on the small side. No Bundt size this year, I promised your mom. By the way for the calorie counters this bread is high in fiber, very low in fat. There is only two tablespoons of melted butter in 3 medium loaves. I have to sit down and figure out the calorie count again.
