Well it seems that Week 2 was a challenge for a few teams. Friends had another good week, as least I hope so because I got TWO reports on their weights and I am not sure which one is right. Funniest thing is Wonder Twins was all over everyone to report their weight, and sure enough, they never sent in their weight. Tsk, Tsk. Ok, here we go roll call:
Friends: I hope your weight loss was real. Kristie Shepard's pie is delicious, but frankly, it is not diet food. Mashed potatoes and corn are both starches, so one or the other for a meal but not both. The hamburg is ok, but think about using half ground turkey and half ground beef. For dinner, you want one starch, one protein and a real vegetable. (Beans, Peas and Corns go in the same category as potatoes.)
Fran: You had a good week. The five mile walk helped. Make sure to check in with Katie and Mom because they are usually up for a nice walk. It's been hard for you with your mom and so I am proud that you are only .2 lbs away from being back to your challenge low.
Angie: Nice loss this week. Just repeat it 10 times in a row and you'll be cranking.
Team Oreo: Devron, I've heard that your teammate is not serious but you are. Regardless, you guys are doing very well for Round 2. Nine pounds is no small feat. Keep up the great work, and, feel free to come up and use the hot-tub if you work out too hard and need to relax.
Jess & Serge: Well, you had a loss for the week. Jessica, look, it doesn't matter that you can only eat 1500 calories a day. You are smaller and so you should be less hungry! No Devil Dogs and Stay Away from the Vending Machine!
Yvette: The turtle won the race, slow and steady and you'll do the same. You're such a great weight loss challenger.
Wonder Twins: Ummm... nice of you to report in. Amy, do not get discouraged. You can't skip meals, you have to eat three times a day or MORE. Eat healthy snacks like an apple or a peach or an orange. Try not to drink calories, use splenda and skim milk instead of sugar and cream. If you are working out and lifting weights it will usually cause a bit of a gain because you'll be adding muscle, so focus more on cardio and get your heart rate up. Pay attention to what you are eating because when you work out you get more hungry. Keep smiling and you will lose - I promise.
Bart: You are still a porkchop.
Ebony & Ivory: Gwen!!! I know it can feel like you aren't cheating and you still gain. Our bodies have cycles and sometimes you are on an up cycle. Are you counting your calories? What does "not cheating" really mean. If you had ANY fast food this past week, then that is cheating. It is hard to know what we are really eating unless we write it down. Maybe you should get a food journal, it can help. Keep your spirits up because if you are eating well the pounds have to come off.
Aunt Ann and Uncle Bob: Well Aunt Ann, you're maintaining. Uncle Bob is at least weighing in. You guys can do better. Maybe you have to change something up. It is not easy.
Michael & Lisa: You know Mike. You were so close to heading below 200 and something happened. How do you find your motivation? No, you can't cut off your head!
Mom & Dad: Ma, you have your motivation, how do you get Dad in the game?
Katie: I'm so sorry. I will do better.

Excuse me Mr. Martin I gave you our 8lbs loss via yahoo messenger thursday around 4ish, it was during our conversation regarding Amy not eating 3 meals a day. Now, why would I get after the other teams to get thier weight in and not report our huge 8bs loss??? Hummmm Mr. Tisk Tisk Tisk! I guess from now on I will send it via email so I have a TRAIL!

Trust me if i was going to lie about our weightloss i wouldnt of said i lost one pound i would of said i lost 10. Carissa lost 7 i lost 1 wich put us at 8 for the week.
I am in fact a journaler. I am very accountable for what I eat as well as what I do for excersize. However my weight loss has slowed down a lot since my recent 70 plus weight loss. I thought I actually gained more but didnt so I guess I will take that as a blessing and just try harder to get back in the game.
