Week 23 Results

We are three weeks away from the end of the first round. How do you feel? Have you given it your all? Did you leave some fuel in the tank? Does it make you feel good to look backwards, or do you feel like you let yourself down? It does not feel like that long ago.
As you prepare mentally for Round 2, make sure you consider how fast Round 1 went by, then, consider what you COULD have gotten done if your head was really in the game. After you've done that, congratulate yourself on coming this far, then decide where you want to go from here. We have quite some time until summer. My personal goal is to feel good in a bathing suit. I did not say look good, I have no delusions about having a Patrick Swauze body (meaning Roadhouse or Dirty Dancing, not To Wong Foo... did you know he was in a MASH episode? Pvt. Gary Sturgis (1 episode, 1981)) but I do want to be happy with my progress.
I've been going to the gym and I can run a mile in 10:56 seconds - now I guess that is not that impressive, but I weigh 270 lbs, so it is a lot of work to move that fast. I want to run a mile in 8 minutes, because, I don't think fat guys can run 8 minute miles.

Here are the results:
We have lost 382 lbs as a team. That is more than an entire average person. It is 1,337,000 net calories burned in 23 weeks. 58 thousand net calories out per week. Can you imagine?

Bart gained. He needs better self control and more aerobic exercise.

Hey look! Jessica found the Old Man in the Mountain!

Nice Week! Tom and Tracy are back on track and Becky and Greg had a great showing. Michael and Lisa - hang your heads in shame! Are you in this or what? Name three things you ate last week you should have put down.

What can I say - I gained this week - only for the sake of my wife having an incredible week did my team lose. I want to do better this week.

Good luck all!

I'm happy to see that as a team, we're doing better each week. I think we're back on track! Tom and Tracy, you blew me away!!!!! Great job!! And congrats to everyone else that lost last week!
I'm very happy with the weight I've lost, but looking back, I know I could have done better. I should have reached my original goal by now. I'm so close, but not quite there yet. So I'll keep on keepin' on until I get there.
Just remember.....spring is just around the corner. Will you be comfortable walking down the street without a coat to hide behind? Let's all step it up notch so we can answer "yes!" We've all done so well and every one of you should be proud of yourself. But since the holidays, we've slacked off a bit. So let's put that slump behind us and get back into it 100%! GO TEAM!!!!!
