Week 13 Results

I'm not sure how we planned this weight loss challenge to have Week 13 land on the same weeks as Thanksgiving, otherwise known as "National Gluttony Day." On to the results:


If the core team's job is to inspire others, we failed miserably. Mom lost 1/2 a pound this week. Dad, Chris and Katie all gained. We have to ratchet it up this week!

Oh, if they could only put strep throat in a bottle and market it. Wow, Jess, seven pounds in one week. I am sure a lot of it is water, so do not get too discouraged about a gain this week, just try to hang on to as much of the loss as possible. Mike and Lisa, way to go, another five pounds down. Yvette, as usual, the slow and steady pace continues, nag Fran, she may join soon.


We have lost 252.3 lbs as a team through week 13. Congrats to all on beating the 250 pound mark!

Look at Yvette's straight line, that is what we should all strive for. Jessica's line is doing its best impression of the DOW JONES. Many of you appear to be "flat-lining" and you know that is not good. Try adding a walk, it puts you in a better mood and helps with the weight loss!
Bart is a weight loss deity this week. His trip to the dog spa with nothing but exercise and absolutely zero people food has put him below 50 lbs and he lost a whopping 2 lbs this week or 3.9% of his total body weight.

Not too bad for the week of Thanksgiving. Remember it's behind us, and we've started a new week. Let's set a goal this week for at least half a lb loss for everyone. Is everyone up for the challenge? Let's see if we can do it. Let me rephrase that.... I KNOW we can do it!!

Jess, hope you're feeling better. The weight loss was great, but that's not a fun way to lose it!
