Downsizing

As most (or all) of you know, Chris and I are moving back to Massachusetts. Chris took a job in West Springfield and we will be living on the compound with poor Mom and Dad until we sell our Georgia house, as Chris starts the new position on Monday.

We are now in the process of downsizing our lifestyle. Downsizing our bodies just isn't enough! We plan on finding a smaller house, weeding out our Stuff to find just what we need, and eliminating bills.

We took one of the first steps tonight - we went from three cars to two. We traded in Chris's Mazda RX-8 and my Toyota Solara to buy me a Saab 9-3. We've gone from a $600 car payment to $175 and our insurance is $1000 less a year! We're hooked! We need to cut more out - we've already cut our food bills down but cutting that mortgage sure will feel good

Not only have we taken the literal weight off our shoulders but, we've started taking the metaphorical weight too.
