OOoohh, Presents!

It is no secret that I love presents! So, when Chris promised me a new necklace if I lost 6 lbs last week, I immediately accepted and immediately started being Extra Good.

Chris has a knack (well, some say knack, others say sneakiness) of giving gifts for one reason that can do double duty. Like gifting a Coach purse in December that counts as a Christmas present, or a Tiffany's necklace that counts as an anniversary present. His grandmother has, on occasion, called him a "jew" for this behavior! Given my predisposition to gifts of any kind, I take what I can get from him.

Monday morning I was down 9.5 lbs and Chris offered to go double or nothing with a new purse this week if I lost 10 lbs. It was incredibly tempting but I quit while I was ahead and raced to my computer to pick out my new lovely from Tiffany's!

Here she is -

So, I have always wanted a silver necklace from Tiffany's - just to see that little blue box and untie that white, silk ribbon - but it was very important that it didnt say "Tiffany's" on it. When I get it, I find out that the one I picked has it etched very small on one side. I decide it's not a big deal because you can't see it and it's only on one side. I asked Chris to take a picture of it for me so that I could blog about it and when I upload the picture, what do I see but the etching staring me in the face. Oh well...it's still beautiful and I still love it - my down-50-pounds and married-3-years necklace. It will always be special to me!
