Best. Thing. Ever.

This product is amazing!! I've been wanting a food scale for a while now and have been putting off buying one. But I bought a ham to cook for dinner tonight and had no way to measure out portions of it - 4 oz. sure is hard to gauge by eye - so I went out today and bought one.

I hadn't planned on spending very much but this one really piqued my interest. It was $99.00 but if you shop at Linens N Things (they're going out of business) you can get 10% now during liquidation although it will probably get cheaper in the near future.

This scale has a built in database of over 1400 foods so when you weigh your item, you select the type of food it is from the screen, and it will calculate how many calories, carbs, protein, fiber, etc. are in that item. I tried it out on my fruit bowl in the kitchen - my peach was 77 calories which is what I would normally count it as but my banana was 174 and I normally count it as 100 calories! I felt like weighing all the food in my house to see what else I've been miscounting.

I use Fitday to keep my food and weight journal - its free and it has TONS of foods on it but sometimes it doesn't have what your looking for or it only gives you content for a "medium" size portion. I think this scale will be a great supplement to Fitday me - and all of you!!
